New to the faith?
Start Here
You do not need to know everything before you begin. Start with Jesus, open the Scriptures, and take the next faithful step.
1. Begin With Jesus
Christian faith begins with Jesus Christ—who He is, what He did on the cross, His resurrection, and His call to follow Him. Read John 3:16, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, Romans 10:9–10, and Ephesians 2:8–10.
2. Understand the Gospel
Sin separates humanity from God, but salvation is offered by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. The gospel is not merely information to agree with—it calls us to repentance, faith, and a new life following Christ.
3. Start Reading Scripture
A good place to begin is the Gospel of John. Read slowly, ask what the passage teaches about God and Jesus, and consider how its truth should shape your life.
4. Pray
Prayer does not require impressive words. Speak to God truthfully. Thank Him, confess sin, ask for wisdom, pray for others, and learn to shape your prayers around Scripture.
5. Keep Growing
Christian growth is a lifelong walk. Continue in Scripture, prayer, obedience, fellowship with other believers, and faithful participation in a biblical local church.
