Our Foundation
What We Believe
Scripturestead seeks to keep Scripture above tradition, trends, personalities, and platforms.
The Bible
We believe the Scriptures are inspired by God and are the authoritative foundation for faith, doctrine, and Christian living.
God
We believe in one God, eternally existing as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit—the Creator and Lord of all.
Jesus Christ
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and truly human; that He lived without sin, died for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the Father, and will return.
Salvation
We believe all people have sinned and need reconciliation with God. Salvation is God’s gift of grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ, bringing forgiveness, new life, and a call to repentance and obedience.
The Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit convicts, regenerates, indwells, guides, equips, and empowers believers to live faithfully and bear fruit for God’s glory.
The Church
We believe followers of Jesus are called into fellowship, worship, discipleship, service, prayer, and the proclamation of the gospel, with Christ as the head of His Church.
Christian Life
We believe genuine faith should produce a life increasingly shaped by love, holiness, truth, humility, obedience, mercy, and the character of Christ.
Christ’s Return and Resurrection
We believe Jesus Christ will return, the dead will be raised, God will judge with perfect justice, and His redeemed people will share everlasting life with Him.
This statement summarizes the central Christian convictions that guide Scripturestead. More detailed teaching should always be tested carefully against Scripture.
